About

2025/02/02

My name is Sam Scheele, and I work at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Systems group. My master’s degree is in robotics and computational perception, but most of my work at MIT LL focuses on the application of AI and ML systems to disaster relief. Outside of the Lab, I like to cook, read, write, and occasionally play guitar.

This is a place for me to write about technical stuff in a more informal way. My current plan is for said stuff to be pretty much entirely math, computer science, and engineering concepts, but I also like to get my hands dirty doing woodworking and electronics projects. Depending on my motivation to write those up and how well I think they’ll translate to a blog format (I think videos are better for physical things), the blog might end up evolving to cover projects of all sorts.
